Even though there are more than three months left to the European “Serbian Open Tournament” cup, the first application for participation has already arrived to our address at 1a Ljutice Bogdana Street.
It was officially announced that Judo Serbia Open will become a European Cup and part of the European Judo Union official calendar in 2011. Agreement was signed by Mr Ivan Todorov, President od Serbian Judo Federation and Mr Sergey Soloveychik, president od EJU on EJU Congess held in Kiev on November 27 2010.

Sergey Tabakov, judo professor, trophy-holder Russian strategist and the coach of the gold medal winner in the under 90 category, Dmitriy Gerasimenko did not try to hide his enthusiasm caused by the organization of Serbia Open Championship, as well as by the audience’s reaction in Belgrade.

Serbia Open this year once again justified the name judo spectacle. The audience in Belgrade enjoyed the top Olympic sport, which included competitors from 20 countries, winners of Olympic, world and continental prizes.
Abdulo Tangrijev (over 100 kg) from Uzbekistan was announced the most successful competitor, who defended his medal won last year in Šumice.
