10 FOR THE ORGANIZER

Štefan Cuk the best coach of Serbia Open 2010

Coach of Slovenian National Team was proclaimed the best coach of 2010 Serbia Open. The golden medal won by Matjaž Trbovec (up to 60 kg category) silver of Tadej Železnik (66 kg) and bronze medal of Tadej Čeh (73 kg) secured the title for the trophy-winning coach.

- I would like to thank the organisers for their invitation first and for such an honourable recognition. This is an excellent result, having in mind that all of them are young guys with fine future lying ahead of them – Štefan Cuk pointed out.

It is known that the Slovenians come to Serbia and Belgrade gladly and the team leader of the team from the sunny side of the Alps spared no compliments for the organiser.

- Ivan Todorov and all at Red Star Judo Club made effort, in deed, to organise a contest by worldly standards year by year. That the host though of everything is evident in every segment of the organisation, which was perfect, I must point out and congratulate them sincerely. That is exactly why it is not surprising that they got the licence, in a record period, for Serbia Open to get the European Cup status.

The Slovenian judoists made us accustomed to excellent results on international scene in last two decades.

- It is a result of a systematic and planned work in the Judo Association of Slovenia as well as of a hard work of all sports related people in the clubs across the country. We re glad to have repeated an excellent result in Serbia. Let me remind that the excellent Rok Drakšič won the golden medal at 2009 Serbia Open and then triumphed at the European Championship for younger seniors in Turkey. We hope that Trbovc, Železnik and Železnik and Čeh will repeat his success at the European Championship in Sarajevo. After the contestant part, the Slovenian judoists continued the preparations in the Training Camp in Šumice.

- Excellent contest and well organised training camp. I am glad that we have worked hard here in Belgrade and I am convinced that we will keep scoring excellent results next year too, when Serbia Open will be the European Cup – Štefan Cuk said.
